This past week, I dove into a three-day mural project for Burners and BBQ, creating a piece that found its place between two young graffiti artists. They kept calling me “ma’am”and I’m still not sure how I feel about that…

The mural came together over three days, including one rainy day that turned painting into a creative challenge.

Collaborating with such talented young artists was energizing, and the project reminded me how events like Burners and BBQ (in the River Arts District of beautiful Asheville NC) bring together community, creativity, and a little bit of chaos in the best way possible.
