Alex brings three decades of experience helping clients communicate complex medical and scientific concepts with clarity and focus. Her work centers on developing clear, concise mechanism-of-action and editorial illustrations that translate detailed information into visuals that support understanding and informed decision-making.

Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Georgia, with concentrations in Scientific Illustration and Zoology. Her postgraduate work was completed at the Medical College of Georgia, where she earned a Master of Science in Medical Illustration. Alex’s professional background includes early work in veterinary medicine, ecological research, medical-legal illustration, and academic teaching. Her current practice centers on editorial and marketing-focused illustration, including extensive work for pharmaceutical clients. She also illustrates a wide range of medical subjects, including oncology, immunology, embryology, OB/GYN, and maternal-fetal medicine.

Alex approaches every assignment as a visual problem to be solved. Working closely with clients, she looks beyond familiar approaches to develop illustrations that are accurate, purposeful, and thoughtfully designed—images that clarify complex ideas while offering a fresh and effective visual solution.
